Jio subscribers in Ganderbal villages complain poor network

Ganderbal: The subscribers of a private telecom company Jio in the Wakura area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have complained about the erratic calling and internet services.

The Jio subscribers in Wakura and its adjoining areas told KNO that they are facing immense problems due to poor calling and internet services.

“We are unable to make calls as every time we dial the number, the network is either busy or switched off,” the aggrieved people said. “Sometimes, it says the number does not exist or shows a number not registered on the network.”

If at all, the call gets connected, the audio quality is so poor that we are left with no option but to disconnect the call, Bashir Ahmad, a local, said.

“This often comes on the Jio network,” they said, adding that due to poor network, call drops happen frequently.

We informed the networking officials of the company about the erratic service many times but no step was taken to address the problem, the subscribers said.

The locals said that poor connectivity of the Jio network in the area has taken a toll on students who are dependent on online learning. They urged the company to address the issue on priority.
