Both stable, area cordoned off: Police official
Srinagar: Two non-J&K labourers working on Jal Jeevan Project at Mazahama area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district were shot at and injured by the suspected terrorists, officials said Friday.
The incident happened this evening, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). Official sources said that two non J&K labourers were working at Mazhama graveyard on the banks of Nallah Sukhnag when suspected terrorists fired at them. “One labourer has received the bullet injury in his arm and another in leg and both are stable,” a police official told KNO, adding that “both are out of danger and the area has been cordoned off.”
The official said that the man hunt has been launched to track down the attackers. Sources said both the injured have been referred to SKIMS Bemina from SDH Magam. This is the third big strike by terrorists after Gagangeer, Ganderbal on October 23 where a local doctor and six labourers were killed. The attack was followed another one at Gulmarg area of Baramulla where two army porters and three soldiers were killed last week.
