Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was spotted arriving in Kashmir for the shoot of his upcoming film, Dunki. Several pictures and videos of the superstar are now going viral on social media.
In one such video, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen donning a white shawl and walking with his manager Pooja Dadlani. The actor received a warm welcome and was also given a bouquet upon his arrival.
Shah Rukh Khan will be shooting for Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki’s next schedule in Kashmir. The actor arrived in a hotel in Sonmarg on Monday night and will be shooting at the location for a few days there.
Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in Dunki. The actor will be playing a double role in the film. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role and is slated for a release on Christmas 2024.
Speaking about the film in an exclusive interview with Deadline, Shah Rukh Khan talked about working for the first time with Rajkumar Hirani. The actor said, “In English, my film would be called Donkey, it is Donkey. But the way a part of the country pronounces donkey in India, it is ‘dunki’. The Punjabis say it (donkey) like dunki… How much to tell you about the story… It is a film directed by one of the most brilliant filmmakers we have had in our country, Mr Raju Hirani. It is written by a very fantastic writer, Abhijat Joshi. It is a story of people who want to come back home… when you finally get the calling.”
“It is a comic film. His (Rajkumar Hirani) films are always a mix of comedy and a lot of emotions about the country. So, it is a big journey film, and the film goes through different areas around the world and finally comes back home to India,” the actor added.
