KUPWARA: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kupwara and former Member of Parliament, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, has taken up the Kapurthala incident with the Punjab Government, where Fareed Ahmad Bajad, a Kashmiri shawl seller from Karlpora, Kupwara, was brutally attacked and robbed.
After raising the matter with the Punjab Government, Mir was informed that a team led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) and the local Station House Officer (SHO) will personally visit the site of the incident today, accompanied by Fareed Ahmad Bajad, to assess the situation.
His intervention has led to the Punjab Police dispatching a high-level team to investigate the case. Mir has consistently stood by Kashmiris facing difficulties outside the state ensuring their security and well-being.
