Man held with illicit timber along with Vehicle in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal: Police

GANDERBAL: A Snap Naka was laid at Chinner by Police Party led by SHO PS Kangan under the supervision of SDPO Kangan.

During checking one load carrier bearing Regd. No. JK16B-5996 was asked to stop, but the driver tried to flee from the spot.

The Police Party acting swiftly caught hold of the accused along with the vehicle.

During search, the illicit timber laden in the aforementioned load carrier was seized & the driver of the vehicle who disclosed his identity as; Kaiser Ahmad Magray S/O Fayaz Ahmad Magray R/O Satrina Kangan was arrested on the spot.

In this regard Case FIR No. 126/2023, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Kangan and further investigation taken up.

General Public have appreciated the Swift action taken by Ganderbal Police & we assure that the stringent action against Timber Smugglers & it’s Smuggling shall continue in future, so that Green Gold can be saved for the future generations.
