KVK Ganderbal Organizes Awareness-cum-Seed Distribution Program for Tribal Farmers

 

 

GANDERBAL: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ganderbal organized an Awareness-cum-Seed Distribution Program for tribal farmers at its Shuhama campus today. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 tribal farmers of the region.

 

Hon’ble MLA Kangan, Mian Mehar Ali, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Nazir Ahmad Ganaie, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Kashmir, attended as the Guest of Honor. The event was also attended by Dr. Rihina Habib Kanth, Director Extension, SKUAST-K and other allied official of SKUAST-K.

 

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Ganaie emphasized the pivotal role played by SKUAST-K in empowering farmers through innovative agricultural practices and outreach initiatives. He encouraged farmers to adopt modern techniques for enhanced productivity and sustainability.

 

Chief Guest Mian Mehar Ali appreciated SKUAST-K’s ongoing efforts in uplifting tribal communities by introducing advanced farming practices and supporting them through such programs. He reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the farming community in the region.

 

The event concluded with the distribution of quality seeds to the attending farmers, aimed at promoting improved crop yields and self-reliance
