SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly witnessed noisy scenes on the opening day of its Autumn Session on Monday after BJP legislators questioned the Omar Abdullah-led government over outsourcing of government jobs.
According to GNS, issue was raised during Question Hour, shortly after the House assembled and paid obituary tributes to three former ministers.
BJP MLA, while raising a starred question, accused the government of outsourcing jobs meant for local unemployed youth and failing to deliver on its election commitments regarding employment.
The opposition sought a clear reply from the government on the number of posts outsourced, the agencies engaged, and the criteria adopted.
The Treasury benches are yet to respond. Question Hour is underway.
The BJP had earlier said it will also raise issues of alleged corruption, delay in Panchayat/ULB polls and hike in electricity tariff during the session.
