Bandipora: Incessant rains caused damage to Nasoou-Mini secretariat road near Dar-ul-uloom Raheemiyyah in Bandipora.
An official told KNO that the road was damaged at Nusoo near Dar-ul-uloom due to the incessant rains following which the traffic movement on the road was suspended.
“At least two houses were partially damaged by the landslide but there were no reports of any loss of life in the incident,” the official said, adding that the residents of the area had been evacuated to safety.
Meanwhile, heavy rains also caused damage to a playfield in the Dardapora area of the district. According to locals, a portion of the boundary wall of the field was damaged due to the incessant rains following which people are avoided going near the site.
“A dedicated control room has been set up in the district for the assistance of the people. The administration is in touch with the people there and Tehsildar and R&B officials have visited the spot and accessed the situation,” the official added.
