Srinagar: The search operation to retrieve the body of a minor boy, Numan Gowhar, who drowned in river Jhelum near Habba Kadal, entered 7th day on Saturday, while no traces of the body have been found so far, officials said.

An official told KNO that the search operation, led by SDRF, NDRF, and River police, continued for the 7th straight day, while no traces of the body have been found yet.
Moreover, ASI SDRF Abdul Rashid told KNO that their teams have been scanning the water for the last seven days.
Today on seven days, we are continuously searching for the body of little Gowhar. About two to three boats are searching regularly and multiple teams are scanning the water, and we are hopeful the body will be retrieved soon. The search operation is on until the body is taken up from the water,” he added.
