SRINAGAR: The Bandipora-Gurez road has been temporarily shut down following fresh snowfall at Razdan Top, officials confirmed on Saturday morning.

According to local authorities, snowfall began early today at Razdan Top, creating hazardous conditions for travelers. In light of this, drivers and passengers have been urged to avoid travel along the route.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez, Mukhtar Ahmad, stated that the road closure was necessary due to the ongoing snowfall and adverse weather. He emphasized that the measure aims to ensure the safety of all travelers.
Officials have advised the public to adhere to the travel advisory and await further updates before planning any trips on the Bandipora-Gurez road.
